wild horses

This weekend I went camping for the first time

We went to Assateague Island where the wild horses roam

It was a bit overcast when we arrived but it meant setting up the tent wasn't too hot

I saw horses (and lots of horse poo); birds; and found lots of seashells

We had amazing homemade ice-cream for lunch on the way home

I'm keen to go camping at the beach again soon but I'll have to settle for staying in an apartment in the Caribbean next week.

Graduation day..was good

I liked graduation day
The best bit was saying the Kindergarten poem
I was Ronald Reagan in the President's Parade
It was nice seeing mummy and daddy in the audience
I was a bit nervous but I remembered all my lines

Jersey Boy

We traversed the Garden State this weekend from the green farms surrounding the Cowtown Rodeo, down to the shore to Atlantic City.

Highlights were:
cheering for the little cows that got away from the cowboys trying to lasso them
handing over some cotton candy to the Rodeo Clown and getting a promotional shirt in return
playing in the Atlantic Ocean and trying out my new hat and dinosaur swimmers
walking through an elephant!

The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy still litter the beach
Can you see me? I'm standing on Lucy's toe

Take me out to the ballgame

Today we took the metro out to the Nationals Ballpark for the baseball game against the Mets.

I went for the red team - and they won!

There was lots of US patriotism at the game - there were mascot versions of the Presidents welcoming people to the stadium, the star spangled banner before the first pitch, God, bless America after the 7th inning and a race of presidents too! (we barracked for Teddy Roosevelt but Lincoln pipped him at the post)

The ice-cream was good - as were the hot dogs and I even scored a free packet of Salt and Vinegar chips on the way out.
