A big big week

Last week I hardly went to school at all

Monday was a holiday for Martin Luther King Day

Tuesday was a snow day and I stayed home with Daddy

Wednesday was a snow day and I went to work with Mummy. I had a good time talking to the people at work; watching youtube while eating popcorn; and playing with Mummy's snowdomes (I broke two and Mummy broke one while cleaning up).

Thursday and Friday I went to school

Saturday, Mummy and I flew to Puerto Rico for a nice beach holiday in the middle of the harsh DC winter.

We had lots of fun playing on the beach, eating plantains, enjoying Happy Hour (Sprite for me, Pina Colada for Mummy) and having dinner at a local restaurant.

Sunday was the beach, the pool and relaxing and Monday we went to old San Juan and checked out San Christobal Fort. I wasn't too sure about visiting the dungeon but it turned out to be pretty cool.

It was nice to see Daddy again on Sunday night but sooooooo cold back in DC!

Bon voyage Pattemores!

We've just arrived home after bidding farewell to Aunty Emma, Uncle Scott and Arwen after 4 days in NYC.

They are off to Hawaii and the beach and we are headed back to school and work.

I will miss Aunty Emma's cool voices when she read me bedtime books and Uncle Scott's 'claw'.

I will miss Arwen the most (but I won't tell anybody that and if you ask I'll tell you I didn't have a good time while she was here.

Here are some photo highlights from the Pattemore's visit:

a modern christmas

Yesterday was Christmas and we celebrated with Arwen, Uncle Scott and Aunty Emma (happy birthday, Aunty Emma)

For the first time in weeks everyone slept in so there was no present opening until nearly 7am!

Santa visited and left a note for Arwen and I . He ate some of the Snoopy Gingerbread Dog Houses we left out for him

Then we skyped Nan and Pop one on each ipad while we opened our gifts

We had a nice lunch with Turkey and Ham and Jaffa Birthday cake - yum yum!

It's beginning to look a lot like..

Christmas!

I've been quite excited about the prospect of Christmas for about a month now and am so glad it is now December.

Yesterday we topped off a trip to the movies to see 'Frozen' with a trip to pick up a real live Christmas tree.

It is so tall it hits our ceiling and Daddy had to trim the top so our Angel could fit on top.

I helped mummy with the decorations while we listened to Christmas carols.

One day closer to Santa.

Daddy likes to pretend he's a Grinch but he has been getting into the spirit this year

Perfect snowflake placement is very important

and Mummy adds the Angel
