We started at the Lincoln Zoo and arrived just in time for the seal show. We also saw flamingos; rhinos; a huge tiger; zebras; giraffes; and wild dogs. I was disappointed that we couldn't find the Komodo dragon - we think he must be on vacation
We hit the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum on Friday. We saw lots of cool fish and sea creatures at the Aquarium including a 80+ year old Australian lung fish named "granddad" who has been in Chicago since the World's Fair in 1933. The Field Museum is huge and has the most complete T-Rex skeleton ever uncovered. It was amazing to look at "Sue's" skull and see the damage done while she was alive and from the effects of being buried in the mud for so long.
We finished the day with dinner at the Polish restaurant near our apartment. I was excited at how much our waitress looked like Elsa from Frozen.
We hit a new playground in Downtown Chicago on our last day and after wondering through the Blues Festival made our way back to our sushi joint for lunch. Then we navigated our way to the water for a kayaking tour on the Chicago river. I liked the ghost stories and kicking back while Daddy paddled me around for two hours.

Hi Keating, you have some relatives who live in Chicago. Was the deep dish pizza good?
